Hsin-Ni Kang reflects on injury, comeback and rebuilding confidence in WDSF interview

Hsin-Ni Kang has described how injury changed her understanding of progress in a World DanceSport Federation interview published on 9 October 2026. The Chinese Taipei dancer competes in Adult Solo Standard as well as Latin.

According to the interview, an ankle fracture interrupted her 2025 world championship appearance. She returned to competition in Manila in April 2026, then experienced another setback at a subsequent competition in Ho Chi Minh City.

Kang told WDSF that returning to basic movement and body control changed the way she approached training. The interview presents patience and renewed confidence as central parts of her comeback.

WDSF reports that she won the Adult Solo Standard Female event at the Hanoi Open in June. In her account, completing the competition and trusting her body again mattered alongside the placing.

This is a report on WDSF's published interview, with her experiences attributed to that source. Read the original interview and official athlete profile for the full context.
