WDSF advances formation team nationality quota to 15 December

WDSF has moved forward the start date for its amended foreign-nationality quota for formation teams. The federation says the 50% limit will apply to relevant WDSF Formation competitions held from 15 December 2026, rather than from 1 January 2027 as originally scheduled.

The WDSF Presidium approved the earlier application of Motion 102/26 after the rule change was agreed at the federation’s 2026 Annual General Meeting in Rome. The date brings the change into effect ahead of the WDSF World Championship Formation Latin in Bremen, Germany.

WDSF has advised National Member Bodies and participating teams that the amended provision will apply to all teams competing in relevant events from that date. Teams preparing for late-2026 competitions should consult the federation’s current rules and their national body for how the quota is calculated and documented; the announcement does not explain those administrative details.
