Kielce, Poland, is preparing to host eight days of IDO world championship competition from 17 to 24 October, with the programme moving from Hip Hop Battles and Breaking into Hip Hop and Popping. The International Dance Organization estimates that about 4,000 dancers from 34 countries will take part; it also projects more than 20,000 spectators. Both figures are advance estimates, not final attendance or entry totals.
The competitions are scheduled at Hala Legionów. IDO says the championships will be open to spectators, with tickets and the official programme available through the event website. The Polish Dance Association and the Świętokrzyski Jump Dance and Sport Dance Club are co-organizing the championships with IDO.
The eight-day programme is recorded as two separate competitions. Hip Hop Battles and Breaking are listed for 17–19 October, followed by the Hip Hop and Popping championships on 20–24 October. Keeping those dates distinct matters for dancers and visitors planning around specific disciplines.
The scale gives the event a wider role for Kielce as well as for the competitors. At an official press conference, regional and city representatives discussed the championships’ expected profile for the Świętokrzyskie region, while the organizer forecast substantial visitor traffic. Those local economic effects remain projections ahead of the event.
