San Luis Obispo seniors are invited to lace up their dancing shoes for a new series of free dance events launching January 15 at the San Luis Obispo Senior Center. The program, presented by KSBY News in partnership with the San Luis Obispo Senior Center and the city's Parks and Recreation Department, will bring live music, dance instruction, and social dancing to multiple neighborhoods through March.
What to Expect
Each event features beginner-friendly instruction in a rotating lineup of dance styles, including waltz, foxtrot, swing, and line dancing. Experienced local instructors lead 45-minute lessons before opening the floor for social dancing.
A highlight of the series comes on February 12, when the Central Coast Ballet Company will perform a short choreographed routine. After the performance, attendees are welcome to join the dancing at their own pace.
Event Schedule and Locations
All events run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and are free to attend. Advance registration is requested to help organizers plan for attendance.
